Coaching
The club has a fully qualified coach, Tom Usborne, available to members and non-members. Tom will be running the sessions listed below and is available for private lessons.
The club undertakes to provide a coaching schedule for its members and provide an environment in which their enjoyment of the game is increased through improving their play. We want to run more sessions than these and we need your interest and feedback to tell us what coaching you want to see.
Juniors
Coaching is particularly important for junior club members so that they develop the correct technique early in their playing career. This will help them play a more consistent game as they grow older and the power of their stroke play increases. In 2010 the club will be operating the LTA approved Mini Red/Orange/Green/Yellow coaching scheme. The LTA link provided will explain the different equipment and court area for each age group or you can find a summary in a document that the club has prepared here.
The club is presently offering two coaching sessions, charged per course of 5, 6 or 7 sessions:

General
Courses will be run to synchronise with school half-terms and will be around 5-7 weeks in length. Payment for a complete course should be made prior to the commencement of the course to enable the club to guarantee the course and adjust numbers to suit. Payment should be made by cheque payable to Plumpton Tennis Club or by bank transfer. Contact the club for further details if you would like to pay by this method.
Sessions which do not take place due to poor weather will be refunded or may be used as credit against future courses. A weatherline will be available for course attendees to check prior to travelling to the club. A little light rain won't slow you down, so bring a light waterproof jacket, just in case.
